Build a custom acoustic Guitar (W. G. Sweet Guitar Books Book 1)
I decided that I did not have enough to do in my guitar shop, and so I decided to take some of the cast-off parts, put some work into them, manufacture a few parts myself and build a custom acoustic guitar for studio recording. I import thousands of guitars a year, and I buy a great deal of domestic parts. All of that goes to anticipate and meet my customers’ needs.
For this I wanted to get by cheaply. Something a customer may not want because it is scratched, broken, poorly assembled doesn’t always merit the same rejection attitude from me. I can fix it. I may be making changes that won’t make any difference in the end results. Custom hard body build (W. G. Sweet Guitar Books Book 2)
Do you want to build your own hard body electric guitar? Well, so did I and so. I did. I used wood from some 100-year-old recycled rafters I salvaged from a house rehab. I decided on an SG styled body because that was one of my favorite styles in my band playing days. I had a broken ill-set neck left over from a custom acoustic project, so I used it to build a set neck design. This is a complete custom build of a Ovation husk. This was purchased as salvage and rebuilt the way I wanted it to be. I use it for a studio guitar and it plays beautifully.
